They’re officially saying that they’re on vacation, but Dale & Scott must be getting lazy because there was no new It’s A Gay World podcast Friday. Actually, a few of their planned interviews canceled at the last minute last week, so they threw up their hands and went to the Jersey shore for the weekend where they hit Asbury Park’s hot gay dance club, Paradise ,and danced the night away inside the DJ booth with their friend DJ Drew G, one of music’s hottest producers and remixers.
But not all is lost for us who need our podcast fix. Dale & Scott recommend the two most recent episodes of World’s sister show, It’s A Gay Thing DC, the number one GLBT podcast in Washington, DC. In Episode 38 they feature a chat with Los Angeles-based music producer and remix master DJ Dave Audé. He’s worked with everyone from Sting to Lady Gaga and U2 and Lindsey Lohan and he tells tales of his life in the music industry, lists his favorite clubs in California and beyond, and explains why he’d rather spin for a gay crowd than a straight one.
And then there’s Episode 39, the latest, which finds Washington’s top event promoters—Aaron Riggins (he’s the Manager of Membership Development at the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association and a longtime GayCities’ friend; we’ve co-sponsored his Homo Hotel Happy Hour events in the past) and Shea Van Horn—in the studio chatting about all the latest gay news and gossip and what’s hot event-wise in the capital city these days. The talk gets a little spicy, but we bet you can take it.
