Greek/French couple Stefan Arestis and Sebastien Chaneac live their life proudly through Nomadic Boys, a gay travel blog.

Since leaving their jobs in London back in 2014, the 35-year-old partners in life and travel have traversed the globe, one gay community at a time. 

Taking a moment’s break from globetrotting, Stefan and Seb gave GayCities a Pride Guru rundown on all things London Pride.

Favorite spot to watch the Parade?

Within the parade itself. Anyone can join in and we love doing this. It’s more fun. Otherwise, along with the route on Oxford/Regent streets.

How did you become a local Pride expert?

Stefan grew up in North London, and Seb has been living here since 2006. We have lived together in West London and attended every single Pride event in the city since.

Best Pride cocktail?

Rum and coke – pour it in a few mineral water bottles and take it with you to the parade.

Sunday brunch?

Balans on Old Compton Street

Place to see-and-be-seen?

Any of the main gay bars in Soho.

What makes London Pride special?

London Pride is one of the largest, and in our opinion, the best in the world. Millions gather to watch the parade as it goes past some of the most famous and recognizable sites in the world – like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street etc.

Which Pride party is a must?

The big parties in the parks after the Parade finishes.

Favorite gay bars?

  • GAY bar: Cheesy pop hits, therefore, a young crowd. Also it’s where we met back in 2009.
  • Circa: It’s new in Soho London. Positive news that the gay scene of Soho is not completely dying.
  • XXL: The best club in London. Official bear night on Saturday evenings and no attitude.

Best cruising spots?

XXL is very cruisy as are the big sauna brands like Chariots, and also SweatBox in Soho itself.

Hotels you recommend for Pride visitors?

  • The Hoxton: very gay friendly and quite inexpensive by London standards.
  • The Z Hotel Soho: another very gay-friendly inexpensive hotel.
  • W Hotel: more high end in Central London.

Best places to eat?

  • La Trompette: It’s in Chiswick, West London, posh and great romantic meals.
  • Soho Joe: In Soho, our favorite place for thin crust Italian style pizzas.
  • Yauatcha: An all-day dim sum restaurant in Soho with delicious patisseries.
