Defeat of Trinidad’s sodomy laws has us ready for a Caribbean vacation

Soon, gay Trinidaddies will be free in the Caribbean. And so will LGBTQ travelers who seek great culture and beaches.

A judge ruled that parts of the Sexual Offenses Act are unconstitutional. The sections, which prohibited “buggery” and “acts of serious indecency” between men, were punishable by 25 years in prison.

A final judgment and exactly what happens next will be made in July. In anticipation of this soon-to-be victory, a vacation to the Caribbean is in order.

While Trinidad figures out next steps, Aruba, Saint Matin, and Curaçao<Curaçao popular and safe desti-gay-tions to frolic.

In Saint Martin, Villa Rainbow is a luxury gay guesthouse and in Aruba, Little David Guesthouse has men-only, clothing-optional pool.

Curaçao, 35 miles north of Venzuela, has plenty of gay-friendly accommodations and just as much nightlife.
