Pride never ends: 15 fabulous, travel-worthy Pride festivals still to come

Around the world, Pride celebrations are not uniformly scheduled in June, the anniversary of the Stonewall riots that set Pride in motion. Sometimes they take place earlier or later in the year to take advantage of cooler weather (thank you Las Vegas and Palm Springs!). Sometimes they are scheduled so people like you can take in more than one.

Whatever the case, they are a great reminder that Pride is 365 days a year.

Berlin Pride 2018

This is one of the biggest gay parades in Europe. Known in German as Christopher Street Day, the event is a gay landmark that has been held in Berlin since 1979.

Liverpool Pride

For 2018, Tithebarn Street is the Liverpool Pride destination, right next to the city's gay quarter. Themed #AllTogetherNow, the big fun begins on Saturday, July 28th.

On the picturesque pier at Shipbuilder's Square, grab your selfie stick and hit up Vancouver's North Shore for a celebration on the pier; just one of the many events happening that weekend.

Austin Pride President Micah Andress joked, “why not have Pride in October when it’s cooler … August is too damn hot.” The event was previously held in September.

What started in 1979 with 200 people is now Montreal's Gay Pride Parade - "Défilé de la fierté gai" in French. The flamboyant festival turns 39 this year.

Looking for something a little more alternative than the traditional LA Pride festival? DTLA's event hosts queers, bears, and the rest of the LGBTQ spectrum that shies away from WeHo.

Oakland Pride

Similar to Los Angeles, across the bride from San Francisco, Oakland hosts it's own Pride festival in September. Expect a diverse gathering and unique celebration.

Dallas Pride

In mid-September, Texas is finally cool enough to make the outdoors bearable. Their two-day Pride hosts a music festival on Saturday and the Alan Ross Freedom Parade on Sunday.

After Las Vegas' emotional lesbian wedding advertisements, there's no Pride celebration more worth hitting up than this one. Late October is perfect weather for a desert festival.

Orlando Pride

While other Florida Prides happened in early Spring, Orlando saves the best for last. Temperatures are pleasant, humidity is low, and the locals are tanned to perfection.
