Summer is here, and so is the sizzling party scene at the Las Vegas day-club pools

Summer is heating up, and so is the Las Vegas pool scene. The city in the desert is famous for its luxurious resorts, and they include some of the hottest pool parties, hottest pools — and hottest pool-goers — on the planet. As the city has continued to grow, so does the club scene, right down to the sun-drenched, warm-water playgrounds.

In general, most resort pool parties require tickets or a cover charge that can vary from day to day. So make sure to inquire online or with a concierge before strapping on the water wings. Most also offer VIP packages and reservations for tables, daybeds or cabanas, so you can decide in advance how much money to spend and how to spend it.

We don’t know about you, but for us, one of the greatest summer pleasures is bathing in the sun with your friends, dipping in the warm blue water and then relaxing in the cabana to the cool strains of a world-class DJ. There’s no better place to experience that pleasure than at the Las Vegas resorts.

Las Vegas takes the party poolside. Check out some of the coolest pool-party spots the destination has to offer.

1. Temptation Sundays at Luxor Las Vegas

The famed pyramid hotel is host to one of the hottest pool parties on the planet — Temptation Sundays.

Featuring live DJs playing mixes of electronic dance music, this summer-Sunday soirée caters to the gay crowd. With cabanas open by reservation, specialty drinks flowing and plenty of sparsely clad guys, the live DJs keep the party hopping and the go-go boys dancing.

Even with the size of the party, Temptation maintains a laid-back vibe. Patrons mingle, flirt and enjoy the sunshine and endless blue pool.

With DJ J.Son as host, 2018 Temptation Sundays kick off this May.

2. Bare Pool Lounge at Mirage

With thumping music and a mix of men and women, Bare at Mirage caters every summer to guests wanting to experience Euro-style pool going.

For the newcomer, that means to expect some topless sunbathing at this adults-only playground. The music leans toward hip-hop, and, in general, Bare welcomes a 35+ crowd.

With specialty snacks (including lobster tacos and frozen grapes), tropical beverages and plenty of mingling, Bare returns this March to The Mirage.

3. Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand

Welcome to Wet Republic. With noted DJs like Calvin Harris, Zedd, and Kaskade, Wet Republic combines the party atmosphere of the strip’s most-happening nightclubs with a fabulous pool deck.

Kick back in a decked-out bungalow, enjoy bottle or pitcher service, or mix it up with the gay-friendly mixed crowd.

Expect plenty of EDM thumping and a dance-club atmosphere, all with aquatic style. In general, Wet Republic attracts a younger crowd ready to splash-dance in the water. It runs Thursday to Monday.

4. Rehab Beach Club at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Cue some Amy Winehouse, grab a beverage and dive into this fusion of water park, concert, and Las Vegas style.

The Rehab party gets wild every weekend with a younger, spring break-type crowd. (Make sure to check ahead. Entry fees vary, depending on the weekend.)

The lagoon-style pool offers a waitstaff and pool-side masseuses who will help you work out any remaining stress from your travel.

Featuring popular live DJs like DJ Lisa Pittman and Atmsphre, two levels of cabanas and a carefree atmosphere, Rehab runs Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning in March. Book cabanas by location online.

5. Encore Resort at Wynn Las Vegas

With The Chainsmokers continuing their residence at the Las Vegas strip resort, Encore rocks as one of the best parties in town.

It also helps that performers like David Guetta, Diplo, and Marshmello drop in to spin some house and electronica.

The Wynn pool area features multi-tiered lagoons, cabanas, bungalows and a mix of hot staff and guests. Admission fees vary from week to week, so make sure to check the concert calendar in advance.

No matter who occupies the DJ booth, you can plan on a circuit-party-style atmosphere with lots of dancing, a mixed crowd, and a high-energy vibe. Cabanas, available by reservation, offer safes to store belongings.

6. The Tank at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas

For a nostalgic Las Vegas-style pool party, check out The Tank at the Golden Nugget.

Featuring a 200,000-gallon shark tank through which visitors glide three-stories blissfully — yes, really — this wet venue also features cabanas and waterfalls.

Unlike most Las Vegas pool parties, The Tank admits children, so expect more of a family atmosphere. For visitors wanting to get away from the younger crowd, Tank also offers the Hideout, a 21+ area with cabana beds.

7. Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

For a nightclub-style atmosphere poolside with plenty of sunlight, check out the particularly gay-friendly pool party at Marquee at The Cosmopolitan.

Featuring live music from famous EDM and house groups like Dash Berlin, Tritonal, and Spacebyrdz, you’ll find a party packed with revelers going wild.

The high-energy vibe offers go-go dancers poolside. Expect a pool packed with a younger crowd ready to dance the day away. Grab a beverage and food from one of the servers, lounge in a cabana and watch beautiful people.

8. Foxtail Pool at SLS Las Vegas

For a more chill vibe, or if you want to stay in swimwear after dusk, make a date with Foxtail at the SLS.

With a tiled pool area that would be just as home in South Beach as it is in Las Vegas, Foxtail offers cabanas by reservation, snack services and a laid-back atmosphere that mixes families, singles and all age groups.

SLS offers discounted tickets to Nevada residents, so anyone wanting to connect with Las Vegas locals should dive in here.

Best of all, at sundown, 3-D projections turn a nearby tower into a laser-light spectacular.
