The Castro couldn’t have gotten any more fabulous. That’s because the Drag Queens of Comedy were in town, delivering two shows to a full house at the Castro Theatre over the weekend.
Hosted by local favorite Heklina (founder of Trannyshack in San Francisco) and Peaches Christ, the Drag Queens set the stage ablaze—and nearly blinded the audience with sequined, moonshine dresses, glitter and brightly bleached teeth.
Bianca Del Rio, Pandora Boxx, Lady Bunny, Shangela, Miss Coco Peru and Vicki Vox belted out offensive jokes, soaring tunes, deft lip syncing, acrobatic dance moves and, to round it out, an intoxicated romp across the stage with drag queen Willam dressed as Little Orphan Annie.
