Gay Whistler Pride melts Canadian snow

Friday marks the start of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, and the competition is sure to be as flamboyant fierce as Johnny Weir’s outfit. If you’re going to the games (buy those curling tickets early), remember that Vancouver has a dynamic gay scene sure to be energized under the international spotlight.

The Olympics are great and all, but everyone knows the real fun starts when the (spot)light turns off. Just as the medals are hung and the losers chip their icy tears away, GayWhistler’s Winter Pride takes off, with or without Johnny and his furless wardrobe. To prepare you for this snowy wonderland and navigate you through the blizzard to come, we’ve created brand new guides to gay Whistler and Winter Pride.

Check out the full city guides to Vancouver and Whistler, and be sure to RSVP if you’re going to Winter Pride. For an event closer to you, take a peek at our gay ski week roundup.
