PHOTOS: Fabulous Finns Feel Fine At Helsinki Pride

Last weekend, thousands of LGBT Finns and their allies—including Mayor Jussi Pajunen and Minister for Culture and Sports Paavo Arhinmäki—celebrated Pride in Helsinki. In addition to a the main gathering in Kaivopuisto Park, the weeklong festivities included a live concerts by Finnish pop singers Samae Koskinen and Leola, an “Art is so Gay” installation, cabaret shows, dancing, discussions and more. News reports indicate Saturday’s Pride parade attracted a record 8,000 visitors, at least a thousand more than last year.
