SF GLAAD Media Awards: Dianna Agron Babysits; Grey’s Anatomy, Facebook Honored

Last night at the 23rd annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco, Facebook became the first social-media company to win an award from the anti-defamation group.

”Facebook has set the bar high for ensuring LGBT people have a safe space to connect with friends and family,” said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick.

Other honorees at the event, hosted by Glee‘s Dianna Agron, included Grey’s Anatomy for television drama, Days of Our Lives for daytime series and HuffPo’s Max J. Rosenthal for digital journalism. Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes received the Golden Gate Award and Wells Fargo was given the Corporate Leader Award.

In addition to emceeing the ceremony, Agron (right) did a little babysitting, too. Jennifer Tyrrell, the lesbian mom ousted by the Boy Scouts, tweeted how the actress entertained her sons:

Had the BEST time at #glaadawards‬! @DiannaAgron played with our kids the whole nite! She is AMAZING! WOW! pic.twitter.com/87t407sI

Winners in other categories were announced in previous ceremonies in New York City and Los Angeles.
