GayCities: All Your Friends’ Activities, Now In One Place

David Yu, CTO, GayCities, with friend, Dan, at a Vancouver bar

If only someone had distilled the things that were important to your fabulous life into one easy system.

Well, now GayCities has!

In one continuously updated feed, you can now find out where your BFF is dining, what’s going on at your favorite nightclub, what’s the hot new new gym, plus tons more.

GayCities lets you keep tabs on your friends (or that cutie from the gym that you would like to “befriend”), with profile pages, like mine, that now display a continuous update of users’ RSVPs, reviews, check-ins, answers and events.

You can also see what’s happening in your hometown or your favorite travel destination: Browse all the activities in a city, or see just the activities of the people you’re following.

Here are some of the cool new features:

  • Notifications: When you log in, an icon will light up when people you’re following have checked into or reviewed a place, decided to attend an event, or posted or answered a question.
  • My Radar: Get updates on the places you’re a fan of and see the events your friends are going to. Want to know what’s happening at the Castro Theater or any of your favorite places and events? Become a fan and see when other users are going. Dying to learn about a great undiscovered restaurant in Paris? Follow this question thread and see what boîtes and bistros your fellow users have uncovered.
  • Following: Check out where your friends have gone in a city you’ve always wanted to visit.

It’s just part of our ongoing effort to bring the most relevant information directly to you in a clear, relevant, and personalized way.

Thanks,

David Yu,

CTO, GayCities
