    29-30 June is Pride weekend so there will be a lot of events on that weekend - full details will be in Boyz and QX magazines. Popular bars in Soho are The Edge on Soho Square, The Green Carnation on Greek Street, ManBar on Charing Cross Road. By day, Room Service is the "see and be seen" party at Miabella on Thursday night, G-A-Y at Heaven is an unashamedly pure pop night on a Saturday night. Also on a Saturday night is XXL at Pulse in Southwark. We Party is also a big occasional Saturday night at The Coronet Theatre in Elephant Castle (think circuit party crowd). On a Sunday morning, Beyond is popular after hours party at Area in Vauxhall. Also in Vauxhall, The Royal Vauxhall Tavern is a popular cabaret venue, particularly on Sunday afternoons. Finally, Horse Meat Disco is a disco night at The Eagle in Vauxhall (gets extremely busy on holiday weekends). It's good advice is to check listings and where possible buy advance tickets on busy weekends to beat queues and avoid higher door charges.

    The Royal Vauxhall Tavern is probably your best bet. Gets very busy on Sunday afternoons. The website has quite comprehensive listiings.

    A younger crowd than other London saunas
    Sweatbox is at pains to market itself as different from other London saunas. In some respects it is. The crowd is generally younger and with regular parties featuring DJs and appearances by porn stars they do at least try harder than other venues. The choice of black paint and red lighting makes it hard to judge the quality of the fit out and cleanliness, but I think Pleasuredrome has a much higher spec fit out. If you get frustrated at the older and, to be brutally honest, sometimes seriously out of shape and slightly desperate patrons that other saunas can attract then Sweatbox may appeal, but the younger crowd can be more reticent. I don't think Sweatbox will really change anyone's perceptions of saunas, but if they appeal to you, this is worth checking out. One complaint is that the towels are made of synthetic materials rather than cotton. Also note that various types of passes (48 hour) are available and a small deposit is also required for your locker key.

    The Royal Vauxhall Tavern in Vauxhall is definitely worth a visit and should be very busy. The Eagle is a friendly local venue, but this tends to be quieter.

    Smart Soho Venue (Now Closed)
    Edit: Lo-Profile, a long with Profile Bar, closed with immediate effect on Monday 7 January 2013. This is a good sized venue that attracts a smart, but not over-poweringly cool, crowd and it's popular on Friday and Saturday for the PlayTime (featuring guest porn stars) and Club Nation nights (and any increase in the variety of house nights in London is welcome). This venue is definitely one to put on the short list when visiting London.
