Clifton boulevard is not detroit shoreway
clifton blvd is not detroit shoreway neighborhood. the store is really located in edgwater/clifton area just down street from lakewood. between w 117 and west blvd.
biding my time
a nice bar but crowd is thin most nights. neighborhood is not the best by any means but not as trashy as mans world area. park near the bar and keep keys in hand to be safe. same guys every weekend. have a good jukebox, bartender james is cool, and never any drama like the hawk. hope it will pick up soon.
all dance floor tiny bar
nice bar but rough neighborhood. awkward spot for cruising since bars so narrow and long.
should be better wait til summer
went over claw weekend. bartender josh is cute and fun. he was the only bright spot. when did leather bars get so cliqueish? unless you go with friends prepare to endure a lonely drink. no cruising here and empty most nights of the week. gets busy after memorial day when the back bar opens. even then mostly muscle queens not many hot bears or daddies.
a summer kind of place
nice when the weathers warm and patios open. go with friends or thick skin. not a cruisy bar unless youre an abercrombie kinda bro. prepare yourself for lots of attitude but enjoy a clean and cool looking bar totally out of place in clevelands lame gayborhood.
total shit hole
once upon a time a mans world was a decent place to grab a drink. that was long ago. minor fix up for claw weekend but most of the bar is still a borderline dump. nothing remotely leather about the bars. no reason to stay in business anymore.
seen better days
Last few times i went the hawk was a down right freek show. grungy old men, bad music, and general boring atmosphere. i like bears and working guys but the hawk men were a total different class of men. and not a good one. once every couple of weeks or so the hawk will rock but looks like its hit a dry spell. wait til warmer weather arrives and maybe the crowd will pick up. not like it used to be.
