Places in San Francisco"I Hate Traveling! Up at 4 to take the granddaughters back to VT. Got to SFO and boarded. Now they say because of storms in Texas, out flight is delayed at least 2 hours! As aunt Lily used to say ' Whatcha gonna do?'"

Hotels in PhoenixGreat Bed and Breakfast in PhoenixMy partner, Bob, and I really enjoyed our stay at the Arizona Sunburst Inn. Tim, the owner, was friendly and attentive to all our needs. Our room was poolside, but quiet and well appointed. The atmosphere was very friendly and outgoing among the guest. Clothes are optional--yeah! We enjoyed sunbathing around the pool. The B+B is close to lots of gay bars, restaurants, baths and other Phoenix attractions. We'll stay there the next time were in this beautiful city.

Hotels in Palm SpringsGreat Bear Resort in Palm SpringsThis was our first time staying at the Bearfoot Inn. It was a fun place. The rooms were clean and completely remodeled. The pool and hot tub area has lots of sunlight and was alive with cute bears. It's within walking distance to the downtown bars and restaurants. We'd definitely stay there the next time we're in Palm Springs.

Bars & Clubs in Los AngelesDiscrimination at the Eagle BarMy partner and I, both 65, were blatantly discriminated tonight at the Eagle in LA. There was only a dozen or so people in the bar at 6:30. The young bar tender saw us come in and sit at the bar. We set there for 10 minutes without being approached by the bartender. We finally got up and walked out without a word from him. Not a very friendly place and if not blatant discrimination against older guys (BTW, we are both in better shape than 90% of the patrons and the bartender himself), then it is completely incompetence on the part of the management to hire and train bartenders that are customer friendly. In the age of SCRUFF and GRINDR, one would think that gay bars would be trying to attract and keep customers. Went to the Faultline Bar and found a much friendlier bartender who served us. Don't tolerate discrimination within a gay bar. Avoid the Eagle LA.
