We visited a very slow night but the service was flawless and the food beautifully prepared. If you don't mind cigarette smoke start with a drink at the bar (which is on the corner next door) - then end with a nightcap at the bar too as it's a late crowd. Back to the restaurant, everyone was friendly, the food super, but we were line diners in the beautiful restaurant - another GO in Berlin!

Two times in three nights - good food, good wine, hearty portions in a variety of foods, wait staff varies from arrogant to charming, worth the taxi ride from Potsdamer Platz. A reservation not necessary but recommended - great to spend time with with "family" in a nice, casual environment. Go!

Be aware - no credit cards, only cash at LaLuna. With that being said, it is a charming restaurant with friendly service - we were the only gay couple the night we ate in the restaurant, but food and ambiance worth the trip from Hamburg Centrum. If you're looking for fancy look somewhere else - if you want a local feel and a taste of old world Italy in Hamburg this is your place!
