I stayed at the Candlewood on a Friday night when I was passing thru Dallas and was going out in Oaklawn that evening. The hotel was clean, had all the amenities that mattered (including kitchenette), was an easy mile drive from the restaurants in Addison, and RIGHT off the North Dallas Tollway which drops you off a couple of blocks from the Roundup.

This is THE place to go for Friday happy hour. The bar has a great roof patio with wonderful views of Balboa Park, downtown San Diego, and the airport. The crowd is friendly and non twink, more middle aged, and good looking.

This is THE place to go on Sunday afternoon. The patio is great and the place is full of goodlooking and friendly guys.

If you like a goodlooking, non twink, friendly adult crowd, this is the place. Good drinks, good service, good music (classic disco at Friday happy hour). The space is clean and well maintained...it's a cut above the rest of the bars in Phoenix.
