Going to NYC this weekend (Dec 16-19 2011). BF's midlife birthday...still hip and young at heart, like a non-pretentious but friendly scene, dancing a bit too. Any ideas? What about the Bloc or the Eastern Bloc? Thanks guys.

...Or you can travel a little further north and hit Quebec City, Quebec. An incredibly beautiful, historic city which is very gay friendly with a plethora of unique, sophticated boutique hotels, amazing places to dine EVERYWHERE, great art galleries/studios, on the St. Lawrence and wonderful bike trails. Very nice eye candy I must add as well. The city is steep and hilly so the people there are quite fit at any age. The Isle D'Orleans is a short drive, over a suspension bridge and it's a whole little world onto its own. A mini PEI only fracophone. I/we highly recommend at least 5 days there. Good luck with your plans, you've got some great options so far. Have fun.

Didn't want to leave...

As fun as a cruise may be, I was teased by the beauty of this beach area . I'd go back in a heartbeat, my visit was not long enough but good enough to leave a lasting impression.
