therapy Bar/Club in New York
***** Chic Bar with Cute Boys
Posted: September 16, 2009
I dropped by for a couple times while visitng NYC, and totally fell in love with this bar. The gay vibe is awesome, the patrons are cute and friendly, and the drinks are strong and reasonably-priced. One of the night had some awesome live performance that just rock the place. The music was great for dancing and the staffs were super nice and friendly. It seems like a great place for a friendly drink, a late nightcap, or to party it up. I totally recommend all gays to check this place out when you're in MidTown/Hell's Kitchen.

The Web Bar/Club in New York
***** Creepy Guys in a Boring Basement
Posted: September 16, 2009
I was visiting NYC and thought I'll check this bar/club since it supposedly cater to the Asian patrons, but I was utterly disappointed. The place was in a disarray and shambles, with bad lighting and decor. The drinks were weak and expensive, and more importantly, the guys were older, creepy, and just not appealing. This place is nowhere close to some of the "Asian Paradise" we have in San Francisco. I doubt I'll return to this place again!

The EndUp Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** You'll Always Endup Here!
Posted: September 16, 2009
Endup is the place to go to wrap-up a long week of work and a few hours of fun in Castro or SoMa. The DJ and music is always popping, and the drinks are always strong and delicious. Boys are plenty and hot (and sweaty); as they shake their booties on the multiple dance floors. There's always a line after midnight (and even longer after 2am); so if you don't want to wait, get there prior to that and you get in free as well (instead of $20). Only wished they serve alcohol past 2am since the party continue to rock till the late morning! But I suppose we'll have to take on the city's restrictive liquor laws to get that done!

Pilsner Inn Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Welcoming and Friendly Low-Key Bar on Church
Posted: September 16, 2009
Friendly and unpretentious patrons are always hanging out at this bar. The drinks are good, and there is a nice back patio for those who like the outdoor atmopshere (if you don't mind cigarette smoke). Very mixed group of gays and lesbians who are here for a drink or two while playing some pool, and watching sports on the TV that hang over the bar. If you're looking for a loud music and topless boys, try another bar as you'll only find a relax and friendly crowd who just want to talk and laugh the night away.

Blackbird Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** A New Gem in Castro!
Posted: September 16, 2009
Blackbird is definitely a great addition to the nightlife of Castro. The layout and decor is modern but welcoming. The bar staff is friendly and serves up delicious, stiff drinks, topped with a smile. The crowd is mixed and friendly, with plenty of eye-candies and hotties reaching out to say 'hi'. This is definitely a great place to come unwind after a long day, to catch up with a friend, or just to kick-off your Friday night at Castro.

The Saloon Bar/Club in Minneapolis
***** Hip and Fun...

Definitely my recommendation if you were to check out a gay bar in MSP. The crowd is young, friendly, and hot. The drinks were strong and decently-priced. Stay later and you get some hot shower scene on stage...

Gay 90s Bar/Club in Minneapolis
***** Used to be GAY...
Posted: August 05, 2009
Well, this place should not be called Gay 90s as it was packed with non-gay. Drinks are decent, but the crowds were very mixed and sparsed; and with the expensive cover; definitely not worth it; unless you gota mixed crowd and just wanna drink and dance and lounge around.

Bolt Underground Bar/Club in Minneapolis
***** More of a dungeon...
Posted: August 05, 2009
We were there for "Topless Night". So, everyone has to be topless to be allowed down to the underground. Not the hottest crowd to be topless but friendly and entertaining. Drinks were decent as usual; but wasn't that hot unless you're into bears and daddies.

Dolores Park Beach in San Francisco
***** Urban Beach without the Sand and Water
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
Great spot on a sunny day to take in the sun and boys who leave no spot untaken on the sunny top of the hill. Great view of San Francisco; and definitely plenty of hot yummy eye-candies. Bring a picnic basket and more; and you'll definitely have an awesome sunny day on the beach - just without the sand and water.

Powerhouse Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Cruisy Leather BAR - more cruisy than leather...
Posted: August 05, 2009
Great friendly crowd, nice sized bar with a nice patio area and good decent-priced drinks. Not much leather unless some convention is going on, but definitely cruisy and entertaining; if you are into guys who are patrons there.

Mint Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Karaoke for the Braves
First to Review - August 05, 2009
If you love to belt out your Madonna's and Britney's; you gotta come check out Mint and join the enthusiastic and friendly crowd. Great place for a birthday celebration as well; but remember, you gotta wait for your turn to light up the stage... which could be a while!

Bar On Church Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** BOC should not have moved...
First to Review - August 05, 2009
Great location for the Castro-haters but pretty generic feel to the latest bar incarnation at this location. Good happy hour prices until 9pm (I think) so if you and your friends are passing by, this could be a watering hole you stop at on your way to the Castro. Maybe they'll spiff it up but so far it just kind of has a lack of a concept and a bit of a ghost town feel to it.

Gangway Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Never seen such a horrible Gangway...
Posted: August 05, 2009
Skip it... it isn't worth your time or money... way better places to go... unless you're down for the sleazy and offbeat bar that somehow still survive till this day!

Truck Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** This isn't a typical TRUCK...
Posted: August 05, 2009
The guys at his bar is HOT - and with the occasional mixed crowd of straight guys; it becomes very HOT. The drinks are good, and music is decent; but the boys are definitely the main course. Check it out on Tuesday night, if you can get a hold of the password for an amazing time at Truck!

Hole in the Wall Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Querky

It's definitely an interesting bar to check out. It has definitely improved since its move to its new location on Folsom. Drop by for a drink and don't expect much, since it is only a hole in the wall... seriously!

Eight Nightclub Bar/Club in San Francisco
***** Great for Sticky Rices and Rice Queens
Posted: August 05, 2009
If you are into Asian, great place to be on a Friday night... however, don't get there until after 11.30pm... because that's when the boys arrive in waves. Great drinks at decent price; and awesome DJ on both level. A must visit for those Asian-lovers!

Asia SF Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Great entertainment
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
You gotta love the entertainment at this place. It definitely makes up for more than its fair share of decent overpriced food. Definitely bring a straight guy and he wouldn't even think twice about those ladies on the stage. Entertainment at its best!

Sushi Time/Underground Sushi Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Delicious Sushi...
First to Review - August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
A must try for those who love sushi. It's decently price and ideally located close to Noe and Market in the Castro District. The guys who make the sushi are actually Japanese; so you know it's authentic!

HOME Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Definitely NOT a home of great food
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
The food here is at most, decent. It's pretty much a hit and miss; and I don't even know why. If you are looking for some yummy homestyle meal, go somewhere else. But, a good place to grab drinks and snacks before a nightout though!

Herbivore Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Vegetarian Heaven
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
I am not a vegetarian, but the food here is so tasty that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there. A lot of the food taste so much like normal "meaty" food that you'll never realize that it's made of soy or just veggie. Definitely a healthy option restaurant!

Squat and Gobble Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Awesome Crepes
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
I enjoy the variety of crepes that they serve. And the location is strategic too, since it is right on Noe and Market; where you could always walk up the stairs and grab a drink at the LookOut after while cruising the throngs of boys strolling on a sunny day.

Cafe Flore Restaurant in San Francisco
***** Decent Food, Very Inclusive Crowd
Posted: August 05, 2009 - Visited: August 2009
The food here has since improved with the arrival of new executive chef, Bronson, who is always introducing new items to the menu. The crowd that comes by for food, coffee, drinks, or just to meet up with friends; are definitely an assortment mix of the gay population of San Francisco. Favorite thing at Cafe Flore - $5 for two margarita's on Tuesday afternoon/evenings.
