My go-to place for a romantic date night in Cathedral Hill. I love the low-lighting and historic location. Stepping into the bar feels like stepping back in time. The ivy-covered patio is lovely in the summertime. And the wood-burning fireplace is perfect during colder months.
This place has, hands down, the best drag show in town. The wine and drinks aren't bad either. Probably best to avoid the brunch menu, however. Stick to the blueberry lemon biscuits instead.
This is a great place to grab a cocktail with a friend or take a date for dinner. It's low-key but swanky with an awesome drink menu and friendly service. One of my favorite places to eat in Weho!
A dive bar done right!
If you want a cliche gay West Hollywood mediocre bar experience that's going to cost you $50 for a round of drinks, this is the place to go.
This is one of my favorite bars in New Orleans. Everyone is always friendly, the drinks are cheap, the music's good, and there's never any drama. Grab a table outside on the balcony if you can. It's a great place to relax and people watch from above.
You couldn't find a better location. This hotel is literally right in the heart of the French Quarter, but it's along a quieter street, so it's not too crazy or noisy. Still, you can walk everywhere. Also, the restaurant downstairs in amazing. Great good and service and an awesome drink menu that changes almost every month.
A New Orleans staple. Does it live up to the hype? Probably not. But it's worth checking out at least once.
This is one of my favorite little boutiques in New Orleans. It has great stuff. Very artistic! And close to some great coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
Yummy cafeteria type place with a huge selection of salads, soups, pastries, and more. Good spot for lunch.
I have had many good times at Bryant Lake Bowl! Of course, the bowling is great. But the theater off to the side also puts on some great shows and concerts. The food is typical greasy dinner grub, but it adds to the experience. One of my favorite spots to go with friends on a Friday or Saturday night!
Great place to go for a date. Parking can be a little tricky, but there are pay lots within a few blocks. Definitely worth checking out!
A really great place to hang out with the locals. The bartenders are friendly and the kitchen it open late.
Awesome gym! Not only are there multiple cardio rooms and weight rooms, there's a yoga studio, a spin studio, a pilates studio, a pool, a steam room, an indoor track, a basketball court, a racquetball room, a library, and even a bar!
I'm a local but I always recommend the Hotel Monteleone whenever I have people come visit. It's in the heart of the French Quarter and the Carousel Bar is an absolute must!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in New Orleans! It's a quaint little family restaurant. Nothing fancy from the outside. But the food is always delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is friendly. I'd eat here every day if I could!
I love the pool! It's a great place to hang out with friends on a Sunday afternoon, order drinks, and relax. The drag brunch is also a lot of fun but be sure to make reservations well in advance!
Perfect place to take a date
It's cozy. It's romantic. The food is good. And the ambiance, too. This is the perfect place to take someone on a date. Try to make a reservation. But if you have to wait, there's an adorable little bar and courtyard.
Dark and seedy, just the way a leather bar should be
This is my favorite gay bar in NOLA. It's dark and seedy, just the way a leather bar should be. The music is always good. The drinks are always potent. And the crowd is always friendly. There's a pool table and machines. My only advice: Be careful on your way to the bathroom. It's super dark and you may get groped along the way.
Drunk food at its finest
Conveniently located in the heart of the French Quarter, this place is perfect when you get the munchies after a wild night on Bourbon Street. The inside looks just like it did when it first opened back in the 1930s. The food is greasy, cheap, and good. It's open 24 hours and the servers have just enough sass.
Try the Purple Voodoo!
Supposedly this is the oldest bar in America. It has a fun, laid back vibe with live piano music and two separate bars. Be sure to try the Purple Voodoo!
