The Only Review You Will Need!

Ahh stirrup! This is a nice little bar, friendly staff and customers, more for the 25+ crowd i would say. As for the bar, its a small place, has a couple different areas, with darts and pool table. Generally has the jukebox for entertainment. which can be nice, that way if you don't like what you hear you can invest in something better. As I said before the staff is very nice, and know how to do their job. The drinks are fair priced, and decent pours. (Well around $5 top shelf about $8-10). They accept cash and credit cards. They also offer a small food menu with appetizers and small bites. several TV's and I am told a good place to go for sports events. Parking is a challenge here, at least if you want to be close. There is about 12 spots adjacent to the building, and some off street parking. The owner also said they recently purchased a lot about 1/2 block away that has security on the weekends. The only CON that I can think of is that the bar does not have a clearly marked service area, making it difficult to get a drink when it is busy. But if you squeeze in between the bears they tend to like it, and may even buy your drink. :) This place does allow smoking, which is not my idea of good, but the smoke is not too bad, they seem to have decent ventillation. All in all, if your of the older crowd I think you will like this place.

The Only Review You Will Need!

Tribe is a VERY nice bar, the owners have invested an insane amount of money in this place. But it appears to have paid off. This is pretty much a video bar with varied theme nights (such as the popuar showtunes night). On the normal nights the videos are generally upbeat top 40 music and dance remixes. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the place is spotless, including the lavish bathrooms. They share a space with SUZY WONGS HOUSE OF YUM, an upscale chineese food joint that is co-owned by a contestant of Bravo's Tops Chef. Although I have not eaten from there the plates looked very inviting. There is a couple billard tables, a small and quaint bar for private events and small groups. and an elevated seating area that overlooks the bar. The staff is friendly for the most part, however they know they are pretty. :) If your young and cute you can expect outstanding service, if your anything but that the service is still good, however don't be surprised if they spend less time entertaining you and others like you. I have not had a bad experience here, however I can definitly see a double standard in this area. But either way, service is good. As for the prices, there is no cover charge, they offer coat check for $2 and parking is pretty decent, unless play is busy then you can expect to walk a little bit further. Drinks are a bit on the stiff side $5-6 for wells and $9-11 for top shelf. The pours are on the lower end of the scale in my book, (1-1 1/4oz) and they take cash and credit. I feel for the atmosphere and what you get the prices are pretty fair. its not often you find a bar that is spotlessly clean, well staffed and safe. All in all I give this bar 5 stars, they could improve in some areas, but in all its a fun place to go.

The Only Review You Will Need!

I will attempt to give a "fair & Balanced" review of this popular nightspot in Nashville. I have visited this venue about 5 times in the past month and this is what I have to offer you... Starting with the location and atmosphere, this club is located in the downtown area, it is also sister to TRIBE which is next door. Being the hotspots in the area sometimes parking can be difficult. But there is parking within a block most anytime. The owners of this club have spared no expense, in fact they are progressively remodeling the entire club, and its pretty nice. The club is host to 2 different venues in one, a cabaret that features a house cast of talent and they do shows almost every night. The other half of the club (or 2/3 of it) is the dance club portion. It is a very large mostly open space with a high-end FX show, several big screen projectors and a live video DJ that plays a variety of top 40 style dance. There are about 7-8 bar stations, some seating areas and the place is all black and white decor. The club also has very roomy, large and clean restrooms, as well as a heated outdoor smoking area. As for the atmosphere... The clubgoers are a very young crowd, ranging from 18-50 (however the average is probably about 20) The crowd is VERY young. For the older crowd >30 this you will probably find the crowd very pretensious and obnoxious, and even at 30 you will feel like the SSI check is on the way. The staff is pretty much the same, very young and often pretensious, if your a cute twink its ok you will be taken good care of. As for the remainder of the crowd, it is often filled with young straight girls (aka fruit flies), and some straight guys. (or so they say) Now for the real skinny! All these wonderful things come at a cost, and it is definitly passed on to the customers. Starting at the door, they generally have a pretty stiff cover charge (around $10) and the drinks prices are equivilent to Chicago or New York (Wells are about $6) and the pours are pretty weak (I am guessing 1oz) a top shelf will set you back $10 or more. Aside from the fact that the prices are a bit stiff by comparison you may also want to be sure to come with cash, and plenty of it. Should you decide to use a credit card be prepared to be hit with a $3 service charge, to go with you $20 minimum. This to me is the biggest bunch of crap I have seen in a long time (not to mention against their card processing rules) but peolple pay it so they are going not going to remove it. They also utilize analog cash registers and card terminals, unlike their sister bar with state of the art point of sale terminals. Those in the business probably can understand why there is a a good reason to push people to use cash and not have all that technology. All in all this is a great club, If I was 21 still I probably would rate it 5 stars, and at my age I should rate it 1 star, but the honest reality is that for most it will either be a 5 start or a 1 star, it all depends what your looking for. As a general guideline, if your older than 30 your probably not going to think this is a 5 star location. If your looking for decent drag queens, this is about the only place, same is for a dance floor and a DJ in a club environment, this is it. You probably will not find a cleaner more elegant bar in Nashville either, my hats off to the owners, who obviously filled a niche market and are doing well keeping competition out of their market.
