Why bother.
This must be the best thing gay houstonians have ever seen. And yet, it's a mediocre club. "The biggest disco ball in Texas"! WTF?? The music is ok, but the staff in general are rude with no manners at all and zero social skills. Anyway, go if you want to check for yourself. My advise: Why bother?
If you have no choice...
This is "the place" simply because there is no other "place". I doubt this place could survive in any other city. It looks old and dark, the building is a mismatch of Texan/Arizona and...the old world?? Some bartenders are great, others (especially the old ones) tend to be rude with zero patience. Sundays are hell, it's like an open zoo. I'm not a big fan of crowds so my favourite day is fridays evenings around 5 or 6pm.
Relax and enjoy
What I like the most about GEORGE is that I don't need to pretend, and I don't need to wear fancy shirts or designer jeans to impress others. This is a place where I feel at home.
