No matter what time you decide to eat at Lucky's, you should always find large portions of food at reasonable prices, coupled with the wait staff that is very friendly, efficient, and energetic. I have yet to try a menu item that doesn't come out of the kitchen in a most mouth-watering way, and it is usually served in about as much time as you would wait for fast food at a whataburger. This restaurant is definitely an Oak Lawn treasure for those looking for good southern hospitality and food like mom's.

Hunky's has expanded their old familiar 50's diner look by moving across the street on Throckmorton to a larger suite. They now have twice the size outdoor patio, and a much larger inside dining area. The 50's retro appeal is still there somewhat, and it seems to be intertwined with a more modern design. Of course, the menu has not changed, nor had the delicious food.
