What to make of this bar exactly???

I have been to the Hawk three times, twice with friends, once alone. It's definitely better with friends. The crowd seems to depend on the day of the week. Certain groups come for particular bartenders I think. The younger crowd shows up on Thursday nights and older men show up for happy hour. Sunday is a mixed assortment of nuts, fruits, and beefcake. I have not been able to pin this place down. Is it a fun dive, a cheap spot to hook up with trash, I don't know. Some customers are aloof, some are friendly, a few are hot, most are somewhere between middle age and the old age home. Quite a plentiful number of short men for some reason. Going here is a crap shoot. Beware, as some customers have serous nasty attitudes or can't say take no for an answer. One queen was dancing around the tables and laughing too loud. Like I said, all depends on the day and the crowd.

    Pure bewilderment

As I had the pleasure of spending five years living in San Diego, I've seen truly fun bathhouses. There are a couple of baths in LA that seem an updated version of 70s raunchy hedonistic "pleasure palaces." Compare those to Flex Cleveland, and you will be sorry. There is a Flex in LA (I don't know if its part of the same chain), but that Flex is much much better. Cleveland's Flex is in a rundown sector of warehouses and garages. The street at night looks scary and creepy. Inside, it's only marginally better. There are simply no hot men here. If old is your definition of hot, then I guess they are hot. Otherwise, skip it. One guy kept calling after me, calling me "young sir"- that wasn't hot, just weird. I thought i had developed a stalker or something. I left before finding out. Yes, skip this place.
