Well-prepared middle eastern food with a broad selection. The fried potato appetizer is great (be sure to ask for some garlic sauce with them--if you're all into garlic). They're usually very busy, lunch and dinner, expect a wait.

Frenchy's Bistro is the place to go for that special meal. Small and intimate--don't let the strip mall type setting keep you away. Excellently prepared food, both new and traditional French fare. Local Long Beach Sand Dabs (the real thing) when available are superb. Not inexpensive, but worth every dollar if you're looking for a superb dining experience.

A fairly fine dining experience in Long Beach. The portions are large(r than necessary). Nice wine list. Food is well-prepared and service is informal and excellent. Desserts are superb--save room.
