HotelsPleasant Weekend, Great HostsOrdinarily I don't take the time to write reviews after staying at a bed & breakfast, but because of the posts below, which came to my attention as I was driving to Ft. Lauderdale, I decided to add my two cents. My partner and I booked our room in early December so we could spend the weekend in Wilton Manor with friends who lived locally. We reviewed the web page and the resort did in deed looked very nice, but most important to us was being walking distance to all of the other gay locations in WM. We have stayed in a lot of gay resorts in Ft. Lauderdale and otherwise and never expect the same level of service or ameneties we get when we stay at the Ritz or Lowes, but we usually enjoy the experience. While it was not a perfect stay it was generally pretty nice, and we found the owners to want to bend over backwards to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. For our stay, the pool was clean and pleasantly warm (almost hot tub warm), the rooms and grounds were clean, the continental breakfast and evening wine tasting both sufficient, we also had ample soap and shampoo in our room. As indicated it wasn't perfect, WiFi did not work, wash cloths and bath mats would have been nice, and a locking gate would have been appreciated, although we did not notice any non-guests walking around and we enjoyed the pool at various times late at night when we got in from dancing. For what it is worth, when we go back to Ft. Lauderdale, and we want a gay guest house experience we will definately keep Aragon on a short list of places to stay. Thanks Tony and Bruce for an enjoyable stay.
