    Great, small club

I went to this place on Monday and Wednesday. As it is the case everywhere, weekends are busiest, but, surprisingly, Monday was a packed night, too. It was a Greek theme night only playing Greek music which was unexpectedly good: large screen was showing clips of Greek divas, and, man, they can sing. Young, trendy crowd, quite affordable drinks. Although I didn't find Greeks very sociable. I suppose you have to initiate conversation yourself if you want to meet somebody.

    Great small club in Nichome

I have read the reviews on here that are mainly negative and completely disagree. Arty Fatty must be one of the best gay clubs in the world and, believe me, living in London, I have seen loads. The place is small. By western standarts, this should be called a bar with dancefloor, but for Japan its quite big. The crowd is 50-50 Asian and European. The music is mainly pop. If you expect electronic stuff, you should probably go somewhere else. There is always a queue to get in on weekends, so arrive early and don't forget the place shuts at 1 am, as it's a law in Japan. The below mentioned barmen aren't very friendly, but they do they job and drinks are fairly cheap. The crowd is young and handsome. Although Japanese are shy and unlikely to approach you first so be confident. If they are here, then its most likely they are after a white guy. Some are unbelievably beautiful. To sum up, I could probably compare Arty with Heaven nightclub in London. It's just much smaller, cozier version of it.

One of the bigger bars on Soi 4

Big gay bar with an outdoor terrace on Soi 4 - one of Silom's gay bar streets. There must be about 10 gay bars there and a couple of restaurants. I only sat on the terrace and its cozy there. Good place to look at others. The crowd is mainly older guys, their young Asian boys and some ordinary gay tourists. A couple of waiters are very handsome. You can probably try and sqeeuze in your number with a tip and hope they will call you.

Great club in the heart of Silom

To be honest, DJ Station isn't just a club. It's actually a complex of gay venues ranging from bars, live music clubs and dance clubs. I must admit that I have never seen anything like it. On weekends the place is jam-packed with mainly young, trendy crowd. Most of the clubbers are Asians although I'm not sure what percentage are Asian tourists - there seems to be loads of them and they difficult to distinguish from middle-class Thais. Whites probably make up about 5 -10 % of the crowd. Mainly guys in their 20s and 30s, although this is Thailand so older European crowd is present too. One night I saw a couple white hottie's too. As I mentioned, the crowd is young and good-looking so if you are into Asians, this is the place to be. The entry to the complex is free, but there is 300 baht charge to enter the club.
