Ken Spragg, 44. I'm a lot of things but most people usually end up pigeonholing me as a serious, somewhat cynical, argumentative, sometimes funny, kinda nerdy, militant (in more ways than one) slightly arrogant, fairly imaginative, sometimes aloof, but smart artsy/activist with a twitchy trigger on my temper and a kinky edge in the right lighting conditions. I feel no particular need to contest that assessment. BUT I would say that I'm more than all that. A lot of people don't know (and maybe wouldn't believe) that I practice meditation to try and be a saner, more peaceful person. A lot of people think I'm just randomly temperamental and miss that was usually sets me off is a deep-seated sense (and love) of justice. Few apprehend my truly affectionate side (or fewer still, my silly side) because they don't get that close to me. Many don't notice my frequent self-critiquing and struggling to try and avoid becoming all the things that I dislike, because they focus on my disliking things. Whether it's a facade I'm deliberately presenting or what, I really don't know, but people do tend to dwell on the 'angry, antisocial, cerebral snob' side of me and not notice the things that I care quite a bit about. Anyhow, if I haven't sent you running for the hills yet and you want to chat or something, feel free. Just try to excuse the fact that I'm often awkward with new people (on a good day-- on a bad day let's just call it social retardation). Not quite Sheldon Cooper (who I adore), but that is a comparison I hear a fair bit :-P
