La Frontera Restaurant in Washington DC
First to Review - June 15, 2008
La Frontera is right in the center of the gay commercial area of DuPont Circle on 17th street. It offers Mexican food at a good value for the money. There is an outdoor patio in the front which will give you a good view of all the comings and goings in the area.
Remington's Bar/Club in Washington DC

Remington's is a pretty decent place. It's "country western" DC style, which means more like a Halloween Party than anything to do with cowboys. But, it's a large, well layed out place, a good crowd.
Omega DC Bar/Club in Washington DC

Omega has got to be the least pretentious gay bar in DC, and that's saying a LOT. It gets a very mixed crowd of different ages, races, and professional backgrounds. Just when you think everyone in DC is either homeless or a stuck up politico snob, Omega will give you a little breath of fresh air.
Halo Lounge Bar/Club in Washington DC
Posted: May 30, 2008
Halo draws a slightly older, professional crowd; 30-something twink-type. You might meet someone interesting, but dress well and bring a business card - it's expected. To do otherwise is to invite scorn. While the place has a pleasant and clean feel, it is also snobish and pretentious. The perfect metaphor for DC itself.
Cobalt / 30 Degrees Bar/Club in Washington DC
Posted: May 30, 2008
The layout of the place it really nice, but the crowd was the young, gay, pretentious type at it's worst. If you're not already part of a hip-click, don't expect anyone to speak to you. I would skip the place altogether.
Denver Wrangler Bar/Club in Denver

This is a good bar to meet more down-to-earth people. It tends towards a slightly older bear crowd, but the crowd is very mixed with respect to age, race, and build. The is especially the case on Sunday afternoon Beer Bust. Very low formality.
Charlie's Denver Bar/Club in Denver

This bar is a sort of scruffy place, and definately not for the Pretty Club Clone type. It's down to earth, with emphasis on earth. BUT, it is also very low attitude. It's a good place if you're looking for a place to relax and have a drink.
