JR's is legendary, but it's not what it once was! George (bartender of old and current owner of George) made JR's legendary. George was what every gay bar needs...a bartender that realized that the profit is in how much you pour, not is measuring how much is poured. These day JR's is still a great bar, most nites. The happy hour crowd has dwindled, but Thursday and Sunday nites are not bad. Cheap drinks, nice bartenders, and a varied crowd...something for everyone. It is an S&M bar...stand and model!

If you are looking for a husler's bar, this is it! The bartenders fondly refer to the "free" popcorn as "Kibble-n-bits"...the only food some of these hustlers eat! Knowing this, the bartenders are friendly, well poured drinks, and there are handsome me. Very laid-back.

George was THE bartender that made JR's great...obviously Charles it a stupid ignorant... Anyway, if you're looking for pretty pbys Gerorge is not the place to go. But, if you like a STIFF drink, and average men, you will love this dive!

On Wednesday nite this is the place to be in H-town...no matter your age. Todiliscious is a bit much, but the bartenders, staff, and patrons make up for the obnoxious wanna-be blond singer(???) But do not get there before 10PM!
