Gay Cork, 43. LGBT Community Website, for Cork City & County in Ireland
Popular student night
Chambers remains as popular as ever for students and regulars on the scene. Entry is free and drink offers remain a popular feature.
The place to be on Friday night!
Rubys remains as the place to be on Friday night, and now has mange great drinks/entry fee offers. It is also opened in Sundays as well, but is free on these nights.
The old reliable
Despite the many new gay bars, opening, closing & reopening, Loafers has stayed the course and has remained as a firm favourite on the Cork LGBT scene. It's beer garden is very popular along with the many new themed events.
Not an exclusively gay bar
Whilst the review is correct, I just want to point out that the Roundy is not an exclusively gay bar
Correct Review
Gaycities review of Chambers is inaccurate because it did not "force the closure of two other venues in the city." One bar (Flux) had already closed well before they opened and the other (Instinct) was in liquidation for 3 months before Chambers opened! Chamber is gay all nights of the week now, and Thursdays is not elusively lesbian any more. Chambers is a comfortable, modern, and chic bar, where you can dance away at one end, whilst having a quiet drink at the other end.
