Don't waste your time...it didn't do a real good job marketing itself and seems like just an extension of a straight bar. Judging from their website it looks like they went back to catering to straight folks.

From the creator of Betty's Fine Food and Spirits and Surly Girl Saloon comes the latest venture: Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace. Located downtown in the Red Brick District this hot dog diner is fantastic. There's more than 10 different unique variations of hot dogs including hot dogs topped with everything from olives and cream cheese to sriracha cole slaw and corn relish. There's also some more traditional fare like tater tots, chili dogs and mac n' cheese. Large beer selection and alcoholic slushies. Very kitschy, cute decor. Family friendly. Metered parking in front of diner.

Level is a new two level gay bar, restaurant and lounge recently opened in May 2009 in a space formerly occupied by a high-end seafood spot. It looks nothing like it used to -- the interior is posh and contemporary with ultra-modern lighting and white leather chairs. The food is excellent too, and the service is attentive and kind. Really recommend this bar! Many drink specials -- check out their website for more info... Hope it does well.

What a fantastic place! Stayed a couple nights in the Champagne suite and was treated like royalty. Champagne breakfast with relatives was awesome. Robert was very gracious.

If you're looking for a laid-back place to enjoy the food and scenery, Cowtippers is the place. Go for lunch on a weekend...often see great views on the streets :D

There really isn't that much more to say about this place. My friend Brian invited me here for Labor Day Weekend 2008 and before I agreed to go he described it as "kinda trashy, but fun." Well, he was absolutely right. The Dunes is a gay resort with a motel, pool, and huge dancehall housing several bars and a cabaret (although no drag shows, which I would have preferred over the lounge singers). DJ David Knapp and DJ Joe Gauthreaux both played, making each night lots of fun while I was there. The thing I found most entertaining (although I only observed) was that the basement of one of the motel buildings was converted into... well... a bath house. "Rooms" are available pretty cheap and you get a bed, a table, and an ashtray. If you don't want to splurge, most guys could actually be found out back in the woods. Yes. The woods. :) Go. Have fun. Just don't expect much (and bring your bug spray... it's amazingly useful even if you don't decide to get lost in the trees).
