Georgie's has a full diverse crowd; jocks, drag queens, bears, and women. Great to play pool and socialize on a casual basis, but not much of a pick-up place. But Saturday night's dance after Midnight is great and a fun place to bring your straight and female friends to just drink, have fun, be left alone, and go home alone.

G-Bar is great on Saturday nights with the great dancing and staff dancers. Drinks are a little high and cover charge has varied from $5-$10. I think it would be more successful and desired if they expanded the dance floor, tore down the wall that separates the bar and made it into one large club with one personality.

The staff was good, prices fair, but there seems to be a loss of character. People come in for a few drinks, then move on to other clubs even much earlier than most barhoppers. I think it has potential, but it must find an identity to be successful. It's trying to be a dance bar (floor too small), a casual sit down area, and a pool hall. Overall, you can sit at the bar for an hour or so for some good conversation.

I'm not a big Country music fan, but Wrangler's was a lot of fun and had a great staff and clientele. This club is 1/4 the size and has nothing unique about it. The decor is lacking in Country theme and the crowds just aren't there. I heard it was owned by the people that owned and closed Wrangler's, but they didn't bring the same quality and spirit to the area and it's disappointing. I found Wrangler's to be a type of Anchor gay bar for Tampa Bay, but Spurs won't be.

This bar is in a great central area of South Tampa and has a great staff and good prices on drinks (no cover). But the dudes are mostly 45+, and the few that are younger are mostly average looking, but think they are the hottest guys ever. I'm a muscular GQ looking jock and I get snubbed by near everyone. On a rare occasion, a few other good-looking guys will come in and they get followed and fondled all night long. But usually by the end of the night, those guys meet up with me. Too snobbish to go regularly.
