    Crowd Control

I have lived in Seattle for over 2 years now and have been to The Cuff many many times. However, lately I'm making up excuses NOT to go. It's one of the only bars here that, once I get in, within a short time, I can't WAIT to leave. The overall atmosphere put forth by the management is one of "Crowd Control". On Friday or Saturday night you'll stand in a long line just for the priviledge of 'getting in' with I.D. only. Then, during the 8 winter months, you'll stand in another long line to check your coat. Then long lines to get a drink, then lines for the restroom, another long line for retreiving your coat. There's no atmosphere of FUN in here. The interior decor is made to look old-fashioned and the patrons are all "neighbor-hoody"...in Seattle if you "don't know anyone" you aren't likely to by the end of the evening. You'll get the 10-15 seconds of "Seattle nice" and then be dismissed. Don't waste your money or time.
