My BF and I loved the Bar on Castro. The place is not big, but the crowd was fun, the bartenders were attractive and made good drinks + they had a room up front where my boyfriend could smoke.

The crowd at this bar is not what you would expect from visiting the website. My asian boyfriend and myself went there Saturday during pride and paid a $10 cover each to listen to thug music and hang out in this dark place. We left this place after five minutes.

The hotel is very close to city hall and the gay pride celebrations/Parade. The prices are very reasonable. The room was clean and well decorated and this hotel is in walking distance from Market Street.

My new husband and myself went to Asia SF for a later dinner after getting married. We had made reservations the day before (which I recommend) and were seated at the bar with little wait. The food was great, the drinks were wonderful, and the asain drag queen waitstaff was Fierce. So if you are visiting SF I highly recommend this place because the food and drings are outstanding and the staff is most entertaining.
