The beauty of Puerto Vallarta is not the beaches or the mountains, it is the people. When you go you will be greeted with a warm welcome usually by Arturo the owner... It is a VERY casual atmosphere... those who like to iron they shirts and wax their eyebrows probably won't like this place as much as I do. The crowd is very mixed, young, older, Mexican, Canadian, and from the US... I traveled alone and it was a great place to make a friend... yes there are hustlers, I didn't use their services, but they were still friendly and would come and talk with me every night without re-soliciting me so I didn't mind them. If you want to learn about PV this is the place!

I went there on my last night in PV and wish I went sooner! I went for a starter drink and closed the place!

I'm an easy going guy who loves wine, so when I saw all the wine glasses I asked for a Vino Blanco and the bar tender wasn't sure if they had it and had another bartender help out... I smiled and again asked for Vino Blanco... he said they didn't have any... I asked for Vino Rojo. He said they didn't have that either... I asked how come they have all the wine glasses if they don't have wine... he didn't understand and got the manager.... I asked again for wine he told me they didn't have any, so I asked why they have all the wine glasses? He said because I like them and walked away. After that no bar tender would speak to me! I figured they would get over it and went to dance. When I returned to the bar, (different section) no bartender would take my drink order... so I left. The bar facility was rather nice, and the crowd was a nice mix, It's a shame the manager has a stick in his ass....

After a day of shopping I was thursty and decided to go in.... There were 6 others and it was very friendly. I'm about to go out and will probably stop in for one on the way!
