36 / M Fort Myers, FL
Partnered bear guy in Southwest Florida. I'm a bartender at Tubbys Video Bar in Fort Myers. I've been with my partner since September of 2005. We love getting out of town whenever time and money permit!

Coconut Cove Guesthouse Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

My partner and I stay here just about every time we come to Fort Lauderdale. It's an awesome clothing optional guest house. There's about 10 or so rooms, so it's a nice intimate setting. Dave, the owner, is very social with the clientele during breakfast and happy hour. We've never had a bad time here! Tends to be a "bearish" crowd, so if you like that you'll love this. If you're into twinks, this is NOT the place for you.
Humpy's Pizza Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Being a native New Englander, I've missed GOOD New York style pizza since moving to Florida several years ago. However, my partner and I came to Fort Lauderdale and found Humpy's in the plaza with Georgies Alibi. This place is OUTSTANDING. Great NY Style pizza with some very cool and unique options. The Rosemary Chicken pizza is fantastic! Heck, even a simple slice of pepperoni is extremely good.
It doesn't hurt that the guys that work behind the counter are hot as hell, either! (I think it's the owners, 2 short-ish stocky musclebears)
Scandals Saloon Bar/Club in Fort Lauderdale

Hot cowboys, bears, cubs, and various other animals! Great music, whether it's jukebox wars during happy hour or some kickin country at night. The bar staff is HOT and extremely down to earth! Good people who treat their customers like family!
Georgie's Alibi Bar/Club in Fort Lauderdale

I love the staff at georgies. The bartenders and servers are sweet and nice. I really enjoy the food and drinks. 2-4-1 until 9pm is nice. The Turkey and Cran sandwich is to die for! The only issue I have with it is the clientele that comes there. As mentioned in previous reviews, a lot of them are very self-righteous queens that need a kick in the teeth. If you want friendly customers, go to Bills, The Depot or Cubbie Hole.
I recommend Georgies as a "starting off" point for dinner and a couple drinks before going to the bars with more hospitable clientele.

Friendly staff, cute layout, love the bears. A little "out of the way" from the Wilton Manors core, but it's a lot of fun.
Bill's Bar/Club in Fort Lauderdale

I REALLY loved the "old Bills" as people call it. However, the new one took some time to grow on me. Our first few times there, it seemed very clique-ish. Lots of "packs" of bears that didn't talk to "outsiders" at all. The last couple times we were there though, it was during the week. The people we met (Bartenders Will and Bob) were just outstanding! It's finally grown on us!
Providence Eagle Bar/Club in Providence

Providence Eagle was the first gay bar I had ever gone to (years ago). The staff and clientele were extremely friendly and it kept me going there for years. I've since moved away, but anytime I'm in town, the Eagle is one of my stops. In my opinion, it's the best bar in the city. Whether it's crammed busy on a saturday night or a slow "happy hour" after work, I always have a good time!

My partner and I stopped in on the way from the airport to our hotel in Marietta. The lunch was fantastic, the staff was extremely friendly! I loved the sports bar theme! If I owned a bar, I would want it to be nearly exactly the same. This is a fantastic establishment!
