Have stayed here twice now and simply love the place. Very central, great staff, nice clean rooms. Breakfast was freshly made and good.

Kinky Tulip is a sexy place to stay in Berlin, but unfortunately it is not so well run. Breakfast is supposed to be included (self service), but rolls and bread turned up after lunchtime. Had room next to reception area and guy in charge put TV on early in the morning blasting out German daytime soaps. I had booked a twin/double and found that the bedding on the 2nd bed was gone after the first night. I asked why and was told that as I travelled alone I only needed bedclothes on 1 bed. I protested and said I had booked and paid for a double to have friends in, and then bedclothes were reluctantly given back. A young dutch boy was told off for not putting a teaspoon back in the dishwasher. Kinky Tulip could be a great place to stay - if owners regard it as being a hotel and employ hotel staff - not a grumpy caretaker
