37 / F West Hollywood-9 year
Asked my real estate agent to find me a place with gay people. I now live in West Hollywood. I am one of 2 lesbians that live here! Love the boys and have great fun in this city. Been here 9 years now and still can't find a location in CA that compares. I host my own internet talk show- Lesbian Knows Best and do stand up comedy around the country.
I know what's up in this city and am active in city government.
Got a question? Just ask! I'm Vicki Wagner

Abbey Bar/Club in Los Angeles

Breeders are invading- yes it's true and we have to share our space. Went there last week and I swear there were more straight people than gay people. What a shame. This used to be the best bar in WEHO hands down for gays or lesbians. Was a great inclusive atmosphere with great music and drinks. Now the menu has changed- got worse. The clientele has changed- got straighter and I am wondering if we are getting pushed out of our own community.
Still has an awesome atmosphere but they don't make the drinks the way they used too. It's too bad really.
ELEVEN Bar/Club in Los Angeles

This is one of my favorite bars in LA. It is new, trendy and decorated beautifully. They have a lesbian night sometimes and even if they don't it's a great spot. They have live shows at 11...usually for the boys but who cares they are Cirque Du Soleil style hanging from a rope suspended from a ceiling. On lesbian nights they are hot women.
Nice.
Food is overpriced and after 10 they only serve bar food so make sure you eat something because this place is about the atmosphere and drinking. Make sure you go upstairs too. FYI- the bathrooms are intersex.
Will be packed.
Benvenuto Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place has wonderful food- I've been going for 9 years now and it NEVER disappoints! I'm from Chicago- I know my Italian. It also used to be THE DOORS recording studio and you can see Jim Morrison's lyrics to LA Woman hanging on the wall. Before that it used to be the LA Gay and Lesbian Center. I know my history.
Anyway- pizza is great and all food is great- you'll LOVE it!
Mmmm.

THis is a BEAUTIFUL club- one of my favorites! You can sit inside or out and the beauty will follow you. The manager, Billy, is awesome and the drinks are great. Food is ok, not the best but not bad either... the atmosphere MORE than makes up for it.
Only problem- they need more bathrooms

Nice atmosphere- true.
good looking people- yes
but what about the FOOD?- NAH
They are overpriced for what they give you and it's not that good. With hundreds of options within blocks of here, go somewhere else and see the people later at the bar.

Marix Tex Mex Cafe Restaurant in Los Angeles

Marix is known in Weho as THE place for margarita's! They have a great happy hour and you will usually spot some celebrity even if a D lister. The place is always jumpin, has a great atmosphere and the food is pretty good.
Be sure to have a designated driver- the drinks are lethal!
Great service and good homemade warm chips out of the oven...Yumm!
Hugo's Restaurant in Los Angeles

Breakfast at Hugo's is pretty eclectic. There are lots of choices on the menu and it is pretty good. They opened for dinner not long ago and only living one block away I tried it twice-won't go back. Service was lousy food was terrible- both mine and my girlfriend's and it came out 45 minutes after we ordered and there was hardly anyone in there. Go Somewhere else! YUCK.
El Coyote Restaurant in Los Angeles

This food is mediocre, drinks are weak in a blah setting! For a city only a few hours from the actual border of Mexico- there are far better places to try for Mexican food.
