BE AWARE! Safety issues in this neighborhood.

Guys, this bar is in one of the WORST neighborhoods in Cleveland and is extremely dangerous. Last year a guy from NYC was attacked and it was all over the media; nothing has changed about the area around the bar when it comes to vandalism, assaults, drug busts, etc. All one has to do is go on the Cleveland Police Department crime map to know this is not an area you want to be in, especially solo. Is your life worth a drink? Only you can decide.

Save your money and you car!

It seems there is an issue of vehicle thefts and vandalism in the FLEX parking lot, which you would think would be a safe/secure lot but is NOT. One should check the Cleveland Police Departments online crime map to see what crimes have been taking place on FLEX property as well as the surrounding side-streets and neighborhood, especially if you value your car and life. Save your money kids and find an alternative.

Like other commenters have written, the Mean Bull is NOT the place to be if you are LGBT in Cleveland. I hadn't been there in a while and stopped by, needless to say I didn't stay. The crowd was not a LGBT crowd. The bathrooms were FILTHY. Bartender didn't know how to make a common drink request. I've had friends say they were being ripped off by bartenders trying to short change them....the list goes on and on. Charles Fleck may have run a great business back in the 70's and 80's or even the 90's but between the current condition of Flex and how things are being run at Mean Bull, clearly the man is WAY past his prime. It is a damn shame that there is so much incompetence in the gay bar scene in Cleveland when the rest of the city seems to be moving forward.
