I like to eat with my hands, so a couple dozen oysters at @Hog Island with a bottle of champagne is the perfect way to start a romantic night of over indulgence. Next, I'd take a seat at the bar at @Michael Minna's restaurant for a plate of his tuna tartar and a glass of rosé. I love an egg, and the quail egg that's mixed into this tartar is pure perfection. For a main course I'd make my way to
@Flour and Water. I can't imagine any chef, save for @Juanita MORE!, creating a better plate of pasta. For dessert I'd be torn between going to
@Zuni Cafe for a late night hamburger with bleu cheese or heading to @Jardiniere for the Bonne Bouche Platter. I'd probably do both. An intimate space would have to follow such decadence. Unless Juanita was hosting a party elsewhere, I'd go to @Hotel Biron for a glass of wine (and maybe a small plate of duck rillettes). It would be the perfect end to a night only San Francisco could create.
