I didn't initially like this bar, but now it is my home bar. I brought my mother here when she came to visit me and this was also her favorite bar in St. Louis, unfortunately, I gave her the bad news that they took the dart game out. They still have shuffle board. I've read a lot of reviews that says the owner is rude. I don't believe that. He is a nice guy and I think he's cute to boot. He is a business owner and he like the bartender Jim do not allow any shenanigans - translation - no sex in the bathrooms. The clientele is diverse and so you can go in it one night and find a type of crowd and another night or time and it can be a completely different crowd. You never know who (or in what form) may be there. Sometimes there's a crowd and sometimes it is empty. No matter who is there, everyone is expected to maintain a standard level of decorum. This is a safe place and anyone who jeopardizes that will have to leave. Perhaps those bitter reviews are those who did not know how to act civilized as evidenced by their reviews. I admit that sometimes I don't care for the crowd, but then that is why we have more than one bar to go to.

This was a gay owned and managed B&B. One of the guys was really nice and friendly. As a local, I've never needed to stay there, but I am in the neighborhood quite frequently. The owners just sold out and moved to CA. I don't know anything about its new owners or its current status.

Just a great place to explore and enjoy. I like to check it out with a friend. A place where an adult can be a kid again.

I've been there a few times. Great variety of drinks. Downside - You could easily spend good money there. Go there with someone or a group. Not an alone type of place. Not a pick up bar. A lot of straight people go here so I don't really think of it as a gay bar.
