For the last twenty years of my work life, I lived on pizza and subs (Dominos')in Massachusetts; this stuff is absolutely FRESH! You can taste EVERYTHING!! Knock yer socks off, type of thing. No (doo-doo)! Go for the buy-two-slices, get a soda free...monday thru friday.

We were regulars there, but found, despite being REGULARS, as well as 20% tippers, people coming in AFTER us got served first, paid their bill and left... we got our food after THEY were done and it was STONE COLD. Apparently ya gotta BE sombody.. whatever THAT is. We get better service in straight places. The Georgies 'fad' may or may not pass, but not on my bucks. I don't mind waiting in line, but NOT after everybody in the place gets served. It's happened more than once.... action speaks louder than words. Went back for a second try on 12/16/07; the place was nearly empty; ordered one hot dog, EACH @ six bucks each and two alcohol drinks, EACH.... got charged TWO BUCKS for ice that they threw away anyway, PLUS a TWO DOLLAR "surcharge" , whatever THAT was for. Total price: FIFTY BUCKS for TWO hot dogs and four drinks. Try "J. Alexanders"... believe it or not, it's cheaper.

We go there, following Vince, bartender extraordinaire, for good service and laid back unpretentiousness. If you're the Paris Hilton type (YOU know who you are!) do the world a favor: DON'T come here. We come here to get away from folks like you! I hear the original "Bill's" crowd is now coming here. This is good... for the most part they're good people... as is Vince.

Not, apparently, a place to see or be seen.... but that's the key. Insecure, with a small winkie? This ain't the place fer you. Weekends are a pit, with pushy wrinkled old men who have a god complex. Do try the brunch weekdays... quite good... quite reasonable. Update:2/1/08... Apparently trouble in the not-so-OK-corral. Staff turnover is outta sight. Is it "good help is hard to find" or simply abusive management? Oy.

For once I agree with somebody! (Oh, heart be still!!) Try the two slices (TWO quarters of a pizza and a free large soda). Had to take a Pepcid, but it was worth it!

When it was 'Costellos', with TWO GREAT chefs, it was WELL worth the money, as well as a great watering hole. Good crowds. Then, Guido and Sal made an offer that, apparently, couldn't be refused. So the prices went up, the food portions got cut, the chefs left... as did most of the regulars. The place, after two years, is up for sale. Again. Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs. Coudn't happen to a nicer group of disengenuous Noo Yakers. If you voted fer "Boosh", this is the place fer you. Update as of 12/26/07: "New Menu" on-line for two months, still 'under construction', with NO prices posted on the menu page. This should tell you something.

Filled with disengenuous servile lemmings who fawn for a buck, among other things. Classic beta (males and females) compensating for their lack of libido and use YOU as a loo. Need to be humiliated? This is the place fer you! Try McDonalds... fast food without the windbags AND it's cheaper!

The original Bills had the 'ambiance'.... buying "Chardees" , I think was a BIG mistake. The aura isn't there.... kinda like 'pepino' singing opera in Carnegee Hall. It just ain't the same. Oh, well. Life goes on... I'll try to adjust.

Laid back place with a sophisticated New York atmosphere. The lady Pie-anner player posts a sign "NO SMOKING", when she's there. This is a SMOKING BAR!! Get a gig elsewhere, lady! Don't tip her. Maybe she'll go away. I did.

Simply a place to see and be seen. The 'food', if you can call it that, is "pro forma" only... get the pager from the Thai place next door (Galanga) and eat there.... unless you have great medical insurance. Booze ONLY at Rosies. Are you THAT insecure, that you have to go to this place?
