Bars & Clubs in CharlotteLike A Straight Bar Full of Gay GuysThank god. I used to frequent Jeff's Bucket Shop off Park road because I prefer standard bars to gay bars/clubs. Central Station offers the same feeling but with the added perk of knowing that most guys you see are up for eye contact.

Any gay club in Charlotte carries about 10% 50+ attendance each night, but there is no "older adult" specific gay clubs, sadly.

AchillesBoy answered "my partner has been offered a job in Charlotte but we're very unsure about this state and city ..."Charlotte is a great city to live in - beautiful, thriving economy, pretty (as much as can be expected these days) friendly, and probably the most gay-friendly city in the South-East. There are plenty of gay clubs, bookstores, a great theater community, and a number of great museums. I've lived here all my life (30 years), but have traveled all over the US... I find gay life in Charlotte to be the best. It's a good mix of relaxed atmosphere and active homosexual community.
