Don't bother unless you're straight

The staright have no clue about our community. The place is overrrun with twinks that bring in their women friends. It does not matter how often you have been there. You must present you ID at the door, pay the cover and get barcelet slapped on. The place is awful.

Warning Charlies not the former Charlies anymore

Warning Charlies is not Charlies anymore. The gay cowboys are long gone. Instead you will get twinks, salsa, drag queens and lots of women. If youre looking for a hip hop taco stand / drag theater - you might find what youre looking for. If youre a closeted salsa twink that needs a place to take your fake girlfriend you might like it. If your displaced troll/bear looking for a place to congregate your hermetically sealed clique you might like Charlies (at certain times). If youre a gay cowboy or admirer dont bother. The fun, energy and friendliness of the former CW Charlies has vanished. it is a different place with a different non CW clientele.

dissapointing

I went there several times and every time I found myself built up in anticipation of a fun night that never got started. The crowd was dull, the was no energy and the bar staff was polite but languid. I got the impression the place was living off of past glory.

Was better as Kickers

This place was more fun when it was Kickers. Hip Hop and CW don't coexist well. Still has its moments though. Staff less attractive and less friendly now - oh well things change.

8 years nobody ever speak to me there

I have been in Seattle 8 years. I'm not exagerrating, everytime I have been to the Madison NOBODY speaks to me not one word. Very strange - I'm in my 40s and there are plenty of toher 40 somethings there whenever I have gone. Seattle gsy bars in general suck in terms of being unfriendly but the Madison is by the far the worst.
