Times are tough, especially for charities. AIDS service groups are facing major cutbacks. So the Thursday, April 30 annual Dining Out for Life charity, in which participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds, could not come at a better time. Last year the venerable fundraiser raised more than $4 million for HIV/AIDS services, and this year promises to be bigger than ever, despite the economic downturn.
There are 3,500 restaurants in 55 cities participating, so please check out the organization’s web site for details.
