I'm originally from the UK and have been to Provincetown many times although the last time was over 10 years ago. I had such an amazing time there and I'm planning to go back in June with my best friend. Can anyone tell me if it's changed much, I notice comments about the age group getting older, not that I've anything against that personally, but my friend is in his mid 20's and I want to make sure he'll enjoy Provincetown in the same way I did when I was his age. Any advice??

I have been coming to P-Town for over 35 years. Every time you go you see and experience something different. Their is room for everyone here. The various seasons offer the many moods of the Town. It can be very quiet to Carnival like. Soo many men of all sizes and shapes and beauty. The lighting, the sun, the smells, the sea, the outrageous qweens are all a part of the vibrant fabric of this amazing town. We will be returning for the 4th of July with my husband Mitch and we can`t wait to stroll down Commercial street. Rent a bike and go thru the dune trail. It will give you quite a workout. Go for a sunset cruise thats an amazing romantic thing to do with someone special in your life. Head over to Herrings Cove and sun-bathe in the nude! Watch for those nasty Rangers yes its illegal damn Puritanical attitudes. maybe Obama`s admin will be less worried about it and leave us alone. A whale watch is a must. Those creatures are amazing. The dune tours of the shacks in the dunes I recommend, or go visit the Race Point Lighthouse via dune buggies. Soo many things to take in. Well soo much more till next time.

P-town is not like any place anywhere. It feels like a whole new world to me. I love it's eclectic mixture of people, it's uniqueness it is really almost indescribable because it is so different that anywhere in the U.S. that I've been.

To me going there is like going somewhere different to the point where it doesn't feel like Massachusetts, New England or even the United States...It is it's own identity. So cool.
It is a blast to hang out there, bars, food, beaches, it has so much in a small space. AND the people..well, all the above applies and then some..they are awesome. You really have to experience it all to get the feeling & understanding of how different and tolerant of ANYTHING they are. Again..So COOL!
Can you tell I love it there???

I just returned from my second trip to Ptown. Astonished no one before had ever recommended Bayside Betsy's on Commercial. Betsy is a treat, and they have a new young chep that does wonders with a tuna steak. Best chowder I've had on the Cape - and I've been going for 10+ years. Also, a new place on Shankpainter, Cachi's (used to be Cafe 73, I think) has GREAT breakfast.
