Holiday Shopping Drag Bag: Atlanta’s Tyra Sanchez

GayCities New York editor JJ Keyes is surveying America’s top drag queens on their xmas gift wish lists. Atlanta’s Tyra Sanchez, the winner of Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, is next up in this series of holiday diva dishes.

Tyra Sanchez‘s Holiday Shopping Drag Bag:

1. A few bottles of Dream Water. Being a drag superstar you travel a lot! Flights to many of the nightclubs can be very loud and uncomfortable. But with the power of Dream Water you’ll be sound asleep before the flight attendant can say, “Please turn off all electronic devices…”

2. A good pair of earphones! A queen always needs to learn her words! I prefer Beats by Dr. Dre! Artists and producers spend countless hours fine-tuning and mixing music to get it exactly how they want their fans to hear it. But the vast majority of headphones can’t accurately reproduce the intricacies produced in the studio. Simply put, Beats by Dre can. With precision-engineered, advanced speaker design, powered amplification, and powered noise cancellation, you hear music the way today’s top artists and producers want you to hear.

3. A gift card to Mary Mac’s Tea Room! Whenever I’m home in Atlanta I always dine at Mary Mac’s! For over 60 years, Mary Mac’s has been setting the standard for southern cooking in Atlanta. And to top it off the staff is beyond amazing.

4. An iPad. One of Apple’s best creations and my best friend! As a drag superstar I’m always on the go. With the iPad I stay connected with friends, family and fans.Apps like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter make it impossible for me to miss a thing. And in my down time (when I unwind and un-tuck) there’s many games available in the App store to keep me busy.

5. A big blonde wig. The purpose of the season is to celebrate the birth of Christ. So why not? The bigger the hair, the closer to God.
