Love in the air: Marriage & Scandinavian Airlines

Companies are going to increasing lengths to brand themselves as gay friendly–but none have gone 10,000 miles up in the air. That’s exactly what Scandinavian Airlines did, marrying two same-sex couples on one of its jets in Scandinavian airspace over Stockholm. The marriages were conducted by a member of the European Parliament as the plane headed to Newark Airport. The lucky couples, chosen in a prize competition, will spend three days in New York City before heading to Los Angeles for an extended honeymoon.
