Dust off those plastic mouse ears and put on your best red shirt – Gay Days at Disneyworld in Orlando is back for its 19th year. You may not find Goofy sauntering down Main Street with his hand in Donald’s back pocket, but what started as an informal gathering has evolved into a massive citywide celebration with round the clock activities spanning the entire week of June 2-8. Don’t be surprised to find a shirtless Prince Charming (or two) enjoying a cocktail at the Royal Plaza Hotel during one of their three nightly pool parties over the weekend. If its wilder waters you seek, Typhoon Lagoon is hosting Lets Go Play on Friday night, bringing together 5,000 scantily clad men and women to dance all night in and out of the water. Wherever the night takes you, just remember these key points:
- Thursday’s gay day is at Animal Kingdom
- Friday’s is at Hollywood Studios
- Saturday is everybody’s favorite: Disneyworld Magic Kingdom
- if you make it until Sunday, you’ll find the gays at Epcot
