Gay Guest House fights UK Gay Rights Bill

In the UK, a new set of gay rights laws comes into effect in April which prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation. These laws would protect gay men and women when staying at hotels across the UK.

However, the only of the gay-only, men-only resort Guyz Hotel in Blackpool feels this could kill his business? Why? It wouldn’t allow him to prohibit straight couples from staying there.

Seems a little far-fetched says rights activist Peter Tatchell:

“I think this is a bit of storm in a teacup.

“Just as there aren’t going to be hundreds of gay couples descending on Catholic adoption agencies, I think it’s very unlikely there are going to be hundreds of heterosexuals banging on the doors of gay hotels demanding to be let in.”

    He may not be legally allowed to keep the hets out, but he certainly can make it uncomfortable for them. Have the male staff walk around nude, and very few st8 guys will check in.
