No one can deny that 2013 was a big year for marriage equality, both at home and abroad. Best of GayCities is reflecting the phenomenal trend towards global equality in two categories: “American Marriage Mecca” and “Global Marriage Mecca.”
In the U.S., Boston, San Francisco and Minneapolis continued to be bastions for marriage equality while welcoming Seattle, Chicago and Maui into the growing number of cities legalizing gay marriage.
Meanwhile, all around the world, cities like London, Wellington, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Amsterdam give us hope that global equality may not be so far away.
